Abstract EN
The study aimed to know the role of participatory leadership by removing it (delegating authority, participation in decision-making, human relations) in improving human resource management practices by removing it (recruitment and appointment, compensation, training and development).
The study took the University of Tikrit as a field for study through a random sample of workers in the human resources units in the university under study, which amounted to (77 individuals) distributed among the different faculties at the University of Tikrit.
The researcher used statistical methods to describe the opinions of the study sample about the elements of participatory leadership and human resource management practices through statistical measures (arithmetic mean, standard deviation and "t" test), as well as (the Correlation Matrix) to test the study's hypotheses and test the relationship between independent variables and the dimensions of the dependent variable.
The results of the study showed the validity of the main hypothesis of the study, which states that there is a positive moral effect of participatory leadership on improving human resource management practices.
Finally, the study recommended that the university, through the development and education centers at the university, establish workshops and design training programs for leaders that help them develop subordinate participation in power and decision-making because this leadership style is of great importance and according to the results of the current study, it contributes to improving human resource management practices.
