تحتوي جميع اللغات الطبيعية على المصطلحات المعربة و الدخيلة؛ رغم ذلك أثارت جدلا و اسعا، في الثقافة العربية، لاتصالها بثقافات الأقوام الأخرى، و ليس افتقارا في اللغة العربية، إنما باب من أبواب توسعها، و مدى تفاعلها، فقد عالج البحث الموسوم بـ: : المعرب و الدخيل بين أصالة "الحاج صالح" و حداثة "الفاسي الفهري"، هذه الظاهرة كونها قضية، تضاربت حولها الآراء في القديم و الحديث، فهناك من يعتبر المعرب تعريبا، و يمكنه أن يكون دخيلا، و العكس صحيح، وغاية ذلك عرض الآراء، و المقارنة بينها، حفاظا على التراث و أصالته، و تجديده حسب مقتضيات اللسانيات الحديثة

natural languages contain both Arabized and extraneous terms; Despite that, it sparked widespread controversy in Arab culture, due to its connection with the cultures of other nations, and not a lack of the Arabic language, but rather a door of its expansion, and the extent of its interaction.
This phenomenon is an issue around which there are conflicting opinions in the ancient and modern times.
