Farid al-Atrash is considered one of the pioneers of composing in Arabic music, as he was able to occupy his place among composers and composed in many forms of traditional and non-traditional arab music.

an operetta with a lyrical dialogue between Farid al-Atrash, Ismail yassin and Sabah.

Abd al-Salam al-Nabulsi also participated in the vocal performance.

the operetta is based on the story of Cinderella and is one of the simple graceful melodies that express joy, hence the idea of research in dealing with this operetta with all kinds of elaborate tonal transformation and different singing colors inside the operetta, the research aims to identify the colors of singing and the style of performance within the operetta fares al-Ahlam, and to identify Farid al-Atrash's style in formulating the operetta.

this research consists of two parts.

the first is the theoretical framework and includes the following: the operetta in Egyptian cinema-the autobiography of Farid al-Atrash-a biography of the artists Sabah, Ismail Yassin, and Abdel Salam al-Nabulsi.

the second part is the applied aspect of the research and includes: the structural formula and tonal analysis of the opera fares al-Ahlam, reviewing the operetta text and commenting on it.

the various Maqam and the use of musical instruments to serve and depict the meaning, and in terms of addressing the tonal conversion, the use of commas, and the expression of words in melody.

then the researcher presented some recommendations and references and concluded with a summary of the research.
