Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of the university admission system in Saudi universities, extract the most prominent international experiences in the university admission system, and present a proposed vision for the development of the university admission system in Saudi universities in the light of some international experiences.

The importance of the study is that it is one of the few studies in the Kingdom that will present a proposed vision for the development of the university admission system in Saudi universities in the light of some international experiences, and will contribute to enriching research in the field of university admission.

The study followed the descriptive analytical approach as it is the most appropriate to achieve the objectives of the research.

The data was collected using the document analysis tool.

The study was applied to the university admission system in Saudi universities through official documents and ministerial circulars issued by the bodies responsible for university admissions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The study concluded with results, the most important of which are: The criteria for admission to the Saudi university system are the following: the general abilities test for high school graduates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the general abilities test for university graduates, the achievement test (courses), and the final average for the secondary stage.
