Linguistic intelligence is one of the variables that needs more special research attention because it plays an important role in our social, academic, and professional life.

high academic performance is a strategic goal that all students aspire to achieve by developing psychological motives that increase this variable.

the aim of the current research was to predict high academic performance through linguistic intelligence and achievement motivation among university students, to identify the prevalence of linguistic intelligence, and to study the relationships between these variables.

methods: a sample was chosen consists of (78) female university students.

for data collection, the researcher used the following tools: linguistic intelligence (prepared by Douglas translated by Nofal, 2010) and achievement motivation scale (prepared by Eid, 2012).

results: the prevalence of linguistic intelligence among Saudi female university students was 7%.

high academic performance could be predicted through linguistic intelligence and motivation.

there was a significant positive correlation between linguistic intelligence and GPA of female university students.

there was a positive significant correlation between achievement motivation and GPA there was no significant correlation between linguistic intelligence and achievement motivation among Saudi university students.
