The sudden spread of the COVID-19 virus has brought about a change in the entire world in all areas of life without exception, including educational and educational systems and institutions, which led to the closure of all these institutions for a long time, and they became in a challenging position as they had no choice but to be forced to the shift from the traditional (attendance) teaching method to the distance teaching method (online) in order to resume education.

this research paper addresses the issue of the use of distance education and its impact on the teaching performance of the university professor in light of the corona pandemic by clarifying the pros and cons of using distance education as a method adopted by the university professor in teaching, and how the epidemic crisis contributed to changing the teaching style of the professor from the traditional to the modern one.
