English Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the impact of using British academy style for swimming ( ASA ) on learning some basic skills of swimming.
The researcher used the experimental approach due to its compatibility to the study nature and objectives.
The study sample consisted of ( 20 ) students from Mu'tah Model school, whose age ranged between ( 10-12 ) years old ; they were divided into two equal groups, with ( 10 ) students in each of the experimental and control groups and the researcher used the pre and post measurements.
The educational program lasted for ( 6 ) weeks, with two days a week and ( 60 ) minutes for each session.
The researcher used t-tests for the related samples in order to reveal the differences between the pre and post measurements for the study tests.
The researcher also used t-tests for independent samples in order to reveal the differences between the individuals of the control and experimental groups in the post-measurement.
The results revealed that there are statistically significant differences at ( α≤0.05 ) between the pre and post-measurement among the experimental group in favor of the post-measurement.
The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences at ( α≤0.05 ) in the post-measurement between the experimental and the control groups in favor of the experimental group.
The researcher recommended the necessity of including the teacher manual of Physical Education for the basic stage with clear instructions about using motor stories and small games as well as motor representation in teaching the activities of Physical Education.
