English Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the impact of human resources management strategies on the behavior of organizational citizenship in the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
A questionnaire was developed as a tool in order to collect data; its validity and reliability were verified.
The study sample consisted of (228) individuals who were chosen in the simple random way with a percentage of (44.18%) from the total study population.
The study employed the descriptive analytical approach as well as (SPSS-Version-20).
The study results showed that the dimensions of human resources strategies (attracting human resources, choice and appointment, training and development) had an impact on the behavior of organizational citizenship.
While the strategy (stimulus and performance) has not been an impact on the behavior of organizational citizenship.
The results also revealed that the perceptions of the study sample individuals with regard to applying the strategies of human resources were medium, while their perceptions with regard to the level of the behavior of organizational citizenship was high.
The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences due to the impact of the variables of (gender, educational qualification, years of experience) on the respondents' perceptions regarding the behavior of organizational citizenship, while there are differences due to the variable of age on respondents' perceptions regarding the behavior of organizational citizenship in favor of (31-40) years old.
In the light of the results, the study recommended about the necessity of paying more attention to the stimulation strategy applied in the ministry as well as reconsidering the strategy of assessing performance in the ministry in cooperation with civil service bureau as a partner in this strategy.
