The major mission of education is to improve the teaching-learning process in order to prepare a generation of learners properly in which they are able to handle the changes and complexities of this century that is characterised by rapid technological development، the widespread of knowledge، and the revolution of information and globalization.

This motivated nations to make a qualitative shift by adopting new methods and using improved and different strategies and tools for assessing to keep up with the era of globalization.

Accordingly، this study is set to clarify the importance of alternative assessment for the quality of the educational process.

Which is considered as a new approach at the level of the educational philosophy and a major transfer in the familiar practices of evaluating the learners' outcome.

Moreover، it is a tool that educators use to shift the teaching-learning process from what is there to what should be.
