Abstract EN

The current study aims to examine the relationship between academic failure and depressive response among middle school students in Erbil Governorate.

The current study was based on the following questions: -1Are there statistically significant differences between academic failure and depressive response among middle school graduates؟ -2Are there statistically significant differences between academic failure and depressive response among middle school students according to the gender ؟factor -3Are there statistically significant differences between academic failure and depressive response among middle school students according to the age factor؟ To answer these questions, the following hypotheses were proposed: There are statistically significant differences between academic failure and depressive response among middle school students.

There are statistically significant differences in academic failure among middle school students according to the gender factor.

There are statistically significant differences in academic failure among middle school students, according to the age factor.

The study was conducted on a sample of 100 male and female students from Erbil preparatory schools who were chosen at random.

The data of the study was processed by the statistical package for social sciences with the arithmetic mean, the theoretical average and the >> t<< test.

The most important results of the study can be summarized as follows: •There are no statistically significant differences in academic failure among middle school students according to the gender factor.

•There are no statistically significant differences in academic failure among middle school graduates, according to the age factor.
