This study seeks to research the nature, origin, and development of the gulf novel, in order to record its stages, extrapolate its cognitive and aesthetic contributions, and explore its controversy with reality, without focusing on the discourses that formed its experience or trying to explain its absence or presence from one stage to another.

the Saudi novel first, then the Kuwaiti novel, passing through the Emirati and Qatari novels, all the way to the novel in the sultanate of Oman and Qatar.
