Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the level of Arabic language teachers' ability to develop critical comprehension skills among fifth-grade students; To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used, and study materials and tools were prepared, which consisted of: a list of critical comprehension skills appropriate for fifth grade students, a list of methods for developing critical understanding skills, a note card to measure those methods, and then ensuring the stability and validity of those tools.

The study sample consisted of (15) Arabic language teachers for the fifth grade of primary school in Abha city, then the study tool was applied, then statistical analysis and interpretation of the results and recommendations and suggestions.

It refers to years of service or training courses in enabling Arabic language teachers to develop critical understanding skills.
