The research aims to: - Know the effect of the strategy of directed imagination in developing the aesthetics of reception among students of the Institute of Fine Arts in the subject of business criticism and analysis, through the following hypothesis:- There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the average ranks of the experimental group (which is taught according to the strategy of directed imagination) and the average ranks of the control group (which is taught according to the usual method) with the subject of criticism and business analysis in the cognitive achievement test afterwards.

The experimental method was adopted as it is more appropriate to the research procedures, and the research community consisted of the Institute of Fine Arts, which numbered (656) students, and then a sample was taken from the students of the fourth grade / plastic department, numbering (14) and a cognitive achievement test was used as a tool for research that enabled (10) paragraphs (Annex 1), as well as a content analysis form (Annex 2), and a teaching plan (Annex 3) was built to know the effect of the directed imagination strategy.

The results of the research were extracted: - the emergence of the effect of the directed imagination strategy in developing the aesthetics of receiving through the processes of merging and synthesis between mental images and their reflection on the students' reception of artworks.
