Abstract EN

The current research aims at recognizing fourth and third level students' attitudes in the departments of English and History in College of Education for Human Sciences towards teaching craft.

It also tries to show if there are statistical differences among them according to gender\specialty variants.

The research community included in this research is a group of male and female students from the third and fourth classes in history department and English department, numbering 357 students.

The researchsample comprises 100 students (girls and boys), 50 students from each department.

The researcher has used a technique of collecting data constructed on her own, including 38 points.

The researcher has worked out its face and content validity.

Its reliability has been worked out according to half-splits procedure.

The researcher has followed statistical instruments such as standard deviation, Guttman equation, Pearson's coefficient Correlation, arithmetic average, T-test for one specimen, and T- test for two independent and unequal specimens at level of number.

The research concludes that there are positive orientations among students of both departments towards teaching as craft as a complete system.

There are negative orientations towards students in the History department, and positive attitudes among students in English department towards teaching.

Thus, there are differences at the level of specialty on the behalf of students in English department.

There are no differences about teaching craft at the level of gender variant.

The researcher presented some suggestions and recommendations based on these conclusions.
