The research aims to identify the impact of the problem tree strategy on the achievement of geography and the development of problem-solving skills among fifth- grade literary students.
To achieve the two objectives of the research, the experiment was applied in Nahrawan High School, the research sample was randomly selected in the Baghdad Directorate of Education, Rusafa III.
The research sample consisted of (60) students, (30) for the experimental group, and (30) for the control group.
The researcher balanced between the two groups and the researcher prepared a test My achievement consists of (50) items, and a test to measure problem-solving skill consists of (30) items.
The validity and reliability of the two tests were verified.
The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the average scores of the achievement test and the problem-solving skill test between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group.
