The current research is determined by studying the rise of the value system and the relationship of academic sluggishness among students in the morning middle schools of the Baghdad Education Directorate / Rusafa First.

Therefore, the researcher chose the sample in a random manner, comprising (200) students.

Social knowledge in constructing and interpreting academic procrastination, and the validity of the two scales was confirmed by the apparent validity by presenting it to a group of arbitrators.

Analyzing the data, and the research reached the following results:-) that the sample members enjoy the advancement of the value system and that there are statistically significant differences in favor of females in the measure of the advancement of the value pattern, and that the members of the sample have academic reluctance and that there are statistically significant differences in favor of females in the measure of Academic procrastination, the results of the current research showed that there is no correlation between the rise of the value system and academic reluctance).

The current research has a number of recommendations and suggestions.
