Abstract EN
This study aims at analysing the role of the linking devices used in linking sentences to each other and to various parts of the text within the framework of the concept of cohesion among 3rdyear students at Sudan University of Science and Technology, as a sample for study.
The researcher used analytical descriptive method, and therefore the researcher designed a diagnostic test to find out the weaknesses and the source of the difficulties among students in writing a coherent text of sentences through the correct use of French linking devices.
After analysing and classifying the weaknesses and difficulties faced by students, the study revealed that there is a great weakness among students in the use of French linking devices.
Based on this result, the researcher suggested some recommendations to overcome the difficulties that hinder writing linking devices in the French language correctly and with an understandable expression and a coherent text.
One more important recommendation that came out of this study is the importance of teaching or learning various connections through sentences placed in a complete textual context without focusing to study individual sentences separately without linking them.

Cette étude vise à analyser le rôle des dispositifs de liaison utilisés pour relier les phrases entre elles et à différentes parties du texte dans le cadre du concept de cohésion chez les étudiants de troisiéme année à l'Université du Soudan, de sciences et de Technologie comme échantillon pour étude.
Le chercheur a utilisé une méthode descriptive analytique, et donc le chercheur a conçu un test de diagnostic pour découvrir les faiblesses et la source des difficultés chez les étudiants à écrire un texte cohérent de phrases grâce à l'utilisation correcte des dispositifs de liaison français.
Après avoir analysé et classé les faiblesses et les difficultés rencontrées par les étudiants, l'étude a révélé qu'il existe une grande faiblesse parmi les étudiants dans l'utilisation des dispositifs de liaison français.
Sur la base de ce résultat, le chercheur a proposé quelques recommandations pour surmonter les difficultés qui empêchent d'écrire des dispositifs de liaison en français correctement et avec une expression compréhensible et un texte cohérent.
Une autre recommandation importante issue de cette étude est l'importance d'enseigner ou d'apprendre divers mots conjonctifs à travers des phrases placées dans un contexte textuel complet sans se concentrer pour étudier les phrases séparément sans les relier.
