Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the compatibility of the study plan applied by the teachers of physical education with the skills of the knowledge economy.

The study was based on a descriptive approach.

The questionnaire was used to collect data from the sample of the study which consisted of (131) teachers of physical education in schools of the first, second and third Irbid Directorates.

The results showed that the degree of compatibility of the study plan applied by the teachers of physical education with the knowledge economy skills was high for critical thinking skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, decision making skill, teamwork skills, and self-learning skills that were ranked in descending order, while the skill of creative thinking came to the last rank and to a medium degree.

The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the teamwork skill according to the gender variable in favor of males and there were statistically significant differences in problem solving according to the variable of experience for 6-10 years.

The results revealed that were no statistically significant differences in the fields of critical thinking skills, communication skills, decision-making skills, and self-learning skills and the fields as a whole due to variables of gender, experience and scientific qualification.
