Abstract EN

This study aimed at evaluating the distribution of the current civil defense centers and assessing the extent to which they cover population centers to increase the efficiency and fairness of these centers' distribution.

The study included 16 civil defense centers in Zarqa Governorate, and the international criterion of 3-5 minutes and the local criterion of 6.20 minutes for arrival.

Results indicated that among the three minutes arrival time, 262 of the population was covered with a percentage of (39.40%) while at 4 minutes time, 373 of the population was covered with a percentage of (56.09%) and at 5 minutes time, 442 of the population was covered .Using the local criterion at the time of 6.20 minutes, the covered populations' number was 500 ones with a percentage of 75.19% , and to cover the entire area of the governorate, 10 minutes are needed to cover about 95.54%.

Therefore, the study recommended moving three centers from their current locations to new locations to solve the problem by covering all neighborhoods within the study area.
