Abstract EN

This study aimed to construct a test to measure general verbal mental abilities as a school performance indicator at the middle school pupils, by applying this test on a random sample of the fourth middle stage.

, The search problem has been with the compatibility of this test with good test properties.

The number of items were (42) item.

the statistical tools used in this study are: mean, standard deviation, Difficulty coefficient, validity coefficient (Pearson), Reliability coefficient (Kuder-Richardson), (T-test), The z score (standard score).

The results of the study concluded that the test has consistent characteristics of good tests and indicates its ability to measure the school performance of this sample.
