Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate each of the eight secondary school libraries.

This sample is divided into four of them in the state of Guelma, and the same number in the state of Laghouat, according to the indicators of the standard issued by the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information issued in 2014.

We relied on the descriptive approach and used Evaluation matrix as a main tool in addition to the interview to collect and analyze information.

The study concluded that the studied libraries do not apply any of the indicators of the aforementioned standard, and that most of the employees are not familiar with the content of the standard, and most of the differences between the studied libraries lie in the university qualification of high school library staff in the Wilayat of Guelma, on the contrary there is no university qualification for library staff Laghouat High Schools
