The aim of this paper is to study the impact of human capital on the demand and supply of the labor market, as well as its impact on the unemployment rate.

The study concluded that human capital affects the labor market through: Increasing the demand for skilled labor to keep pace with technological development, increase productivity and reduce labor turnover costs; As investment in human capital also contributes to increasing the volume of skilled labor.

Investing in human capital by spending on health leads to increase the rate of participation in the labor market and thus an increase in the supply.

Increasing human capital leads to a reduction in the unemployment rate, and reduces the length of stay in unemployment.
