The article analyzes the added value of interactive teaching compared to traditional teaching combining lectures and tutorials, for a course in university work methodology, intended for first-year students in the context of an experiment carried out at the University Center of Naâma (Algeria).The assessment was based, on the one hand, on a measurement of the initial aptitudes of the students and, on the other hand, on their performance in the examinations of the MTU course.
The analysis focuses on the differences in outcome progression between the treatment group and the control group.
The results tend to show that the interactive method contributes, in particular through its regular and engaging monitoring framework, to the perseverance and motivation of students and, consequently, to their academic performance.
In their oral comments, the students who have benefited from the interactive method say that they appreciate the success factors that it invites them to mobilize, such as regular work, the possibility of collaborating with each other, discussion with the teacher and the progressive understanding of course expextations in terms of skills and reasoning.

L'article analyse la valeur ajoutée d'un enseignement interactif, par rapport à un enseignement classique combinant cours magistral et travaux dirigés, pour un cours de méthodologie du travail universitaire, destiné à des étudiants de première année dans le cadre d'une expérimentation réalisée au Centre universitaire de Naâma (Algérie).
L'évaluation portait sur la base, d'une part, d'une mesure des aptitudes initiales des étudiants et, d'autre part, de leurs performances aux examens du cours du MTU.
L'analyse porte sur les différences de progression des résultats entre le groupe de traitement et le groupe de contrôle.
Les résultats tendent à montrer que la méthode interactive contribue, notamment par son cadre de suivi régulier et engageant, à la persévérance et à la motivation des étudiants et, par suite, à leur performance académique.
Dans leurs commentaires oraux, les étudiants ayant bénéficié de la méthode interactive disent apprécier les facteurs de réussite qu'elle les invite à mobiliser tels que le travail régulier, la possibilité de collaborer entre eux, la discussion avec l'enseignant et la compréhension progressive des attentes du cours en termes de compétences et de raisonnement.
