The role of social media in enhancing emotional intelligence of teachers in universities : case study of the university of Relizane

Abstract EN

The current study aimed at investigating the role of social media in improving the emotional intelligence of the university teachers.

accordingly, an electronic questionnaire was launched to the teachers of the faculty of economics, management and commercial sciences-university of Relizane using their professional emails.

the gathered data were analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 19.

the findings revealed the positive impact of social media usage on all the four emotional intelligence skills identified within the Goleman model, which are : self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management.
