This article aims to explore some aspects of the notion of inrerculturality, which is a crucial element in any teaching / learning of foreign languages.
the approach adopted is that of discourse analysis, and the type targeted is that of social representation because any meaning effect conveyed by discourses can be of the order of representation.
the corpus of study consists of an Algerian textbook from the first secondary school year.
after some theoretical preliminaries, the approach is to (1) identify the representations at work in the discourse studied ; (2) show the place occupied by the intercultural component in the learner’s manual.

Cet article a pour objet d'explorer certains aspects de la notion d'inrerculturalité qui représente un élément essentiel dans tout enseignement / apprentissage des langues étrangères.
la démarche adoptée est celle de l'analyse de discours, et le type visé est celui de la représentation sociale car tout effet de sens véhiculé par les discours pourra être de l'ordre de la représentation.
le corpus d'étude est constitué d'un manuel scolaire algérien de la première année secondaire.
après quelques préliminaires théoriques, la démarche suivie consiste à (1) repérer les représentations à l'œuvre dans le discours étudié ; (2) montrer la place qu'occupe le volet interculturel dans le manuel de l'apprenant.
