To respond to the new demands of our time, it is currently essential to invest in people.
that is why the modern growth theory indicates that the possibilities of growth of the economy is based on the increase of knowledge, by investing more in human capital.
with regard to Algeria, which has known several economic reform and development programs, began to give more importance to human capital in these programs.
the objective of this article is to verify whether human capital is a determining variable in the increase in the rate of economic growth in Algeria for a period going from 1997 until 2021.
the empirical study reveals that the growth rate of the economy in Algeria depends on several macroeconomic factors, however the development of human capital is the most important variable.

Afin de répondre aux nouvelles exigences de notre époque, il est actuellement indispensable d’investir dans les personnes.
c’est pourquoi, la théorie moderne de la croissance indique que les possibilités de croissance de l'économie passent par l'augmentation des connaissances, en investissant plus dans le capital humain.
en ce qui concerne l’Algérie, qui a connu plusieurs programmes de réformes et de développement économiques, a commencé à donner plus d’importance au capital humain dans ces programmes.
l’objectif de cet article est de vérifier si le capital humain constitue une variable déterminante de l’accroissement du taux de croissance économique en Algérie pour une période allant de 1997 jusqu’à 2021.
l’étude empirique, révèle que le taux de croissance économique en Algérie dépend de plusieurs facteurs macroéconomiques, cependant le développement du capital humain reste la variable la plus importante.
