The modern Algerian poetic discourse has received attention from the audience ; the fact that poetry is a fertile field for reading and reception.

among those recipients is "Abdullah Al-Rakibi" who reflected his reception of the Algerian poetic discourse in his book “studies in modern Algerian Arabic poetry”.

this research paper aims to reveal the manifestation of the reading and reception theory in German recipient's reading so that he or she contributed to reading modern Algerian poetry paying attention to the author.

the study reveals that the German readers experienced the flavor of Algerian poetry and their interest in its beauty in terms of imagery and rhythm.
