Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the relationship between information coding strategies for fourth-grade students in the department of physics and their achievement in solid-state physics, and the objective of the research was verified by answering the following questions - : 1-what are the strategies for coding information for fourth-grade students in the department of physics? 2-what is the solid state physics achievement of fourth-grade students in the physics department? 3-is there a relationship between the information coding strategies of fourth-grade students in the department of physics and their achievement of solid state physics? to answer these questions, two research tools prepared by the researcher were used, namely : 1-scale of information encoding strategies (40 paragraphs) 2-the achievement test for solid state physics, consisting of (40 items) the researcher verified the validity of the two tools through apparent validity by presenting the test paragraphs to a group of experts in psychological and educational sciences and solid-state physics professors for the achievement test.

the faculty of the scale and the method of the relationship of the paragraph degree to the total degree of the field.

the stability of the two tools was also verified by extracting the stability parameter by the internal consistency method (Alfa Cronbach).

after the two tools became ready, the researcher applied these two tools to a random sample of 200 students from the class.

the fourth in physics departments in colleges of education in Iraqi universities in Baghdad governorate for the academic year for the academic year 2020-2021 a.d.

when using statistical methods, the results showed the following : 1-fourth-grade students in physics departments in colleges of education possess strategies for coding information, and the most used strategies were visualization, followed by verbal clarification, organization, and recitation.

2-the fourth-grade students have an achievement in solid state physics 3-there is a positive statistically significant correlation between encoding strategies for information and their collection in solid matter, except for the recitation strategy.

the correlation coefficient was not statistically significant.
