The Egyptian song went through different stages that led to its development, and the emergence of a large number of pioneers of composing contributed to creating an atmosphere of artistic competition, which resulted in an interest in the level of melodies and performance.

the emergence of harmonica and the development of the musical ensemble and the use of Western instruments and rhythms, and among these composers Abdul Azim Muhammad whose compositions combine originality with what they contain from an ancient heritage and contemporary, with what he added to the lyrical heritage he formulated his melodies on a variety of topics, enriching the Arab music heritage, through his use of Maqam and rhythmic diversity, which gave his melodies a distinctive character.

although the melody of "Tala'a al-Badru 'Alayna" ((the full moon rose upon us) in the movie al-Shaimaa was distinguished by its smoothness, melodic variations, and the use of different Maqam transitions was not studied by specialists in the field of Arabic music, which prompted the researcher to choose the topic of research.

this research consists of two parts.

the first is the theoretical aspect of research and includes: theoretical concepts of research.

the second part is the applied aspect of the research and it includes: analyzing the melody of "Tala'a al-Badru 'Alayna" (the full moon rose upon us).

a full analysis, then the researcher presented the results of the research that include arriving at the vision of Abd al-Azim Muhammad and his creations in composing the melody among them, he replaced the musical introduction with a percussion played by drums, choosing the basic Maqam, the Hazam Maqam, which is suitable for the nature of the meanings of words, using the Maqam transitions and tonal transformations, direct or unexpected, the transition by gender of the branch.

he also used melodic variations of the same verbal text, and he used various scales and genres.

then the researcher presented some recommendations and references and concluded with a summary of the research.
