Abstract EN

In this study, we seek to shed the light on a figure of speech that readers frequently encounter in literary works so called «comparison», then, the demonstration of its lexical and contextual definition along with its parts and tools besides citing the most important techniques of translation.

in addition to that, we shall analyze although this research-a set of translated comparisons which we have already selected from Antoine de Saint Exupéry's «the little prince» novel that was translated into Arabic by Mohammed el Touhami el-Amari.

finally, we will conclude this study by suggesting three strategies to translate «comparison»: «into comparison», «into metaphor» and «into metonymy».
