Given the great place that the story occupies in a child's life, this study examines the effectiveness of the story text directed at the child in Algeria in the formation of the child's personality in kindergarten?, the aim is to search for stories and topics, which can play an important role in the upbringing of the child in various ways: social, psychological, educational, moral.

the importance of research lies in knowing the effectiveness of the story, as a tool for the formation of a kindergarten child, and due to the nature of the study, the descriptive analytical approach, based on the mechanisms of description and analysis, was adopted through the adoption of a questionnaire as a data collection tool.

the study found that kindergarten is an essential stage in the educational process, and children at this stage want to know stories about life and the environments around them, and their tendency to emulate, imitate and play roles intensifies.
