الآثار المترتبة للتحول الطارئ للتعليم عن بعد في أثناء جائحة كوفيد- ١٩ على "المعلمة الأم" ومقترحات لتقليل هذه الآثار

Abstract EN

The current research aims to study the negative psychological and social effects resulting from the pressing transformation to distance education due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the mother who works as a teacher; and thus, on the family and society, based on role conflict theory.

This research also examines several variables that contribute to the conflict of roles between family and work.

A quantitative descriptive approach was used, and data were collected through a questionnaire designed for this purpose.

The study sample consisted of 260 female teachers from the public and private education sector in the Makkah Al Mukarramah region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The results showed there are negative psychological effects on the mother who work as a teacher because of the pressing transformation to distance education due to the COVID- 19 pandemic.

The study also revealed that the feeling of tension, boredom, frustration, and irritability are among the effects that this transformation caused.

The results also showed that social relationships were negatively affected, especially the relationship and duties related to parents and brothers, and then the relationship with friends.
