Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between media and education, seeking to uncover the shifts in the approach to this relationship from a perspective that traditionally saw competition between educational institutions and the media, to a new concept based on the assumption of possible integration between the two variables.

the study used a systematic review methodology to achieve its objective, involving the examination of available theoretical literature and the extraction of some important theoretical results explaining the transformations in this relationship.

the study confirmed the existence of a radical change in classical doctrines due to the emergence of new media, which has redistributed the roles in the educational process and shifted the focus towards integrating new media as tools for education.
