The gifted received the attention of researchers, scholars, educationists, and psychologists, especially after World War II, as these studies concluded the importance of studying the personal characteristics of the gifted personality, to the point that it became one of the most discussed topics in scientific research circles, in response to the urgent and dire need for them, which was dictated by the circumstances.

And the requirements of the explosion of knowledge, technological development, and scientific acceleration that prevail in the world in this era, so many researchers and those interested in this category have conducted many studies to study everything related to gifted students, including their characteristics, what are the abilities that they possess, and methods for detecting them, and among those studies is this study.

Which aims to identify the personal characteristics that distinguish gifted deaf and hard of hearing students from the social perspective of their teachers, with a sample of (75) male and female teachers.

The study also used the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data and information.

The study also used the descriptive analytical approach to achieve its goals.

A number of statistical methods were used, including the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, the relative weight, the Pearson correlation coefficient, the Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient, the reliability coefficient using the split-half method, and the t-test.

The results of this study resulted in great agreement among the study sample members on the questionnaire’s items.

The results also resulted in This study shows that there are no statistically significant differences in the level of responses of the study sample members, which is attributed to the gender variable (male/female).

The researcher in this study also recommends the need to educate community members, teachers, and parents about the characteristics that distinguish gifted students, and the need to detect these talents at the age of Early on, giving the required attention to these students, overcoming all difficulties they face, supporting them financially and morally, and working to solve all the problems they may encounter.
