يركز هذا البحث على المشاكل التي تواجه المترجمين عند التعامل مع النصوص العلمية من خلال تقديم مثال محدد و هو ترجمة نصوص طب الأسنان من اللغة الإنجليزية إلى العربية.
و على ضوء أدبيات الترجمة العلمية المتاحة من خلال دراسة عدد من النصوص المترجمة من اللغة الإنجليزية إلى العربية في مجال طب الأسنان يحدد البحث ثلاثة أنواع من المشاكل و يقترح بعض الحلول لها.
و تقع هذه المشاكل في مجالات سوابق الكلمات و المصطلحات العلمية و المفاهيم الفنية التي يراد ترجمتها.
Abstract EN
This paper focusses on problems in technical translation through a specific example: the translation of English dentistry texts into Arabic.
Based on the available literature on technical translation and an examination of Arabic dentistry texts translated from English, the paper identifies three problematic areas: affixational, lexical and conceptual problems.
Suggested solutions for these problems are also given
