هدف الدراسة : تهدف هذه الدراسة لاستكشاف آراء طلاب كلية الطب بجامعة حضرموت حول الدور الذي يقوم بع المشرف في إدارة المجموعات الصغيرة لمناقشات الطلاب كأحد طرق التعلم عن طريق حل المشكلات.
منهجية الدراسة : دراسة وصفية مقطعية لآراء 104 طالبا و طالبة في المستويات الأول و الثاني و الثالث بكلية الطب-جامعة حضرموت باليمن.
تم جمع البيانات عن طريق استبانة محكمة اشتملت على تسعة أسئلة حول صفات و أداء المشرف أثناء فترتي المناقشة الأولى (العصف الذهني) و الثانية (الحصيلة).
النتائج : أغلب الطلاب كانت انطباعاتهم جيدة حول أداء المشرفين مع وجود تباينات ذات دلالة إحصائية حسب المستوى الذي يدرس به الطالب، و من أهم آراء الطلبة هي : يقضي المشرف جزء من وقته لمتابعة مناقشات الطلاب (48.1 %)، يتعامل المشرف مع كل الطلاب مع اختلاف شخصياتهم (70.2 %)، المشرف يستثير الطلاب للمناقشة (51 %) و المشرف يعمل كمصدر للمعلومات (72.1 %).
الاستنتاج : بالرغم من الآراء المشجعة للطلاب حول المشرفين إلا أن الحاجة إلى عمل دورات مكثفة لتحسين دور المشرف في إدارة المناقشات الصغيرة تظل مطلوبة.
Abstract EN
Objective : The aim of this study is to explore the opinions of students about the role of tutor in small group discussion (SGD) Methods : Cross-sectional descriptive study involving 104 respondents (medical students from year l, year 2 and year 3 of Hadramout University in Yemen.
Data were collected by a well structured questionnaire which consists of 9 items about characteristics and performance of tutor in brain storming session and debriefing session.
Results : Most of students reported good impressions about tutor performance with significant variations according to student's level ; e.g.
tutor spent part of time to follow the discussion (48.1), tutor dealing with different personalities of students (70.2%), tutor simulate students (51%,) and tutor act as an information provider (72.1%), Conclusion : Training courses for tutors about managing small group discussions is recommended.
