Abstract AR
Abstract EN
The two-dimensional, finite difference model previously developed by Ab bouda et al.
(1992) was applied in this study to predict the moisture changes of wheat stored in vertical standing, cylindrical steel bins.
The water generated by respiration of grain was incorporated into the model.
Validation of the model was made by comparing the predicted moisture and the measured data.
In general, they were in good agreement.
Experiment data also showed that bin size and initial moisture had significant effects on the moisture changes and grain quality under unventilated environmental conditions of AI-Ahsa Province, Saudi Arabia.
