يتضمن البحث تطوير طريقة غير مباشرة لتقدير مركبات الكاتيكول باستخدام التحليل بالحقن الجرياني مع نظام كشف كهروكيميائي ثلاثي الأقطاب.
يتكون نظام الكشف من عجينة الموز الحاوية على أنزيم PPO كقطب عامل، سلك البلاتين بقطر (1.5) ملم كقطب مساعد و قطب الفضة / كلوريد الفضة المشبع بكلوريد البوتاسيوم Ag / Ag Cl.

حيث يحفز أنزيم PPO أكسدة مجموعتي الهيدروكسيل في الكاتيكول إلى الكوينون المقابل و من ثم يختزل الأخير كهربائيا عند جهد (-0.65) فولت ليعطي تيار اختزال يتناسب مع تركيز الكاتيكول.
Abstract EN
This work involves indirect determination of catechol compounds using flow-injection electrochemical detector.
The detector based on the three-electrodes system, banana paste which contained the poly phenyl oxidase (PPO) enzyme as working electrode, auxiliary electrode Pt.
wire and silver/silver chloride, saturated potassium chloride Ag / AgCl .sat.
KCl as reference electrode.
The PPO enzyme in banana paste motivates the oxidation of the two hydroxyl group in catechol to the o-quinone which is then reduced at (-0.65) V back to catechol.
The reduction current was recorded and it is proportional to concentration of catechol.
