الهند بلاد تحوي اختلافات كثيرة متباينة في الحالة المادية و الاجتماعية, الخلفية الثقافية و التعليمية لشعبها الوعي الصحي و المعتقدات التقليدية المتعلقة بالأمراض تؤثر أيضا في طريقة تعامل الأفراد مع المرض و هذه الجوانب تؤدي إلى تعقيدات في علاج الأمراض المزمنة المتقدمة مثل العضلي.
وجدت جمعية الحثل العضلي في مومباي عام 1973 بهدف مساعدة الأشخاص المصابين بالحثل العضلي و حاولت التشبث بالجانب المحلي في تأهيل المصابين بالحثل العضلي معدلة طريقتها خلال السنوات.
سيتناول هذا الموضوع مع جوانب مختلفة من تأهيل المصابين بالحثل العضلي في منطقة مومباي.
Abstract EN
India is a country with very wide variations in the socioeconomic status, educational and cultural backgrounds of its people.
Health awareness and the traditional beliefs regarding diseases also influence the peoples' approach to disease process and these issues result in complexities of the therapy of chronic progressive diseases like the muscular dystrophies.
The muscular dystrophy society of Mumbai was founded in 1973 with the aim to help people with muscular dystrophy and has tried to grapple with the local issues of rehabilitation of muscular dystrophies, changing its approach over the years.
This article will deal with various aspect of muscular dystrophy rehabilitation in the Mumbai region.
