Abstract EN

This article aims to report on the application of a new teaching method, Strategic Interaction (SI), at the University of Jordan.

SI is built on the principles of group dynamics.

It advocates the use of both directive and nondirective teaching modes, casting the teacher in the role of a guide.

The author taught and developed instructional procedures representative of SI for teaching conversation skills through open-ended scenarios.
