كان الغرض من هذا البحث هو دراسة تأثير السيلينيوم و فيتامين ھ على معدل النمو، صورة الدم، بعض الهرمونات و الوظائف البيوكيميائية في الحملان.
في هذه الدراسة تم استخدام 20 من الحملان في مزرعة خاصة بمحافظة الشرقية أعمارها تتراوح من 1 إلى 15 سنة.
تم تقسيم الحملان إلى أربع مجموعات متساوية كلا منها تضم 5 الأولى ضابطة و الثانية تم حقنها تحت الجلد و الثالثة تم حقنها تحت الجلد باستخدام 1 سم من (سلينيت الصوديوم) مرة أسبوعيا لمدة ثلاث أسابيع متتالية و الرابعة تم تجريعها عن طريق الفم باستخدام كبسولة فيتامين ھ (تحتوى على 400 ملجم) مرة أسبوعيا لمدة ثلاث أسابيع متتالية.
بعد نهاية التجريع تم أخذ عينتين دم من كل حيوان الأولى على هيبا رين و ذلك لدراسة التأثير على صورة الدم و الأخرى لفصل المصل و ذلك لدراسة التأثير على بعض الوظائف البيوكيميائية و بعض الهرمونات.
تبين لنا من تلك الدراسة أن السلينيوم و فيتامين ھ أحدثا بعض التغيرات في صورة الدم و بعض الوظائف البيوكيميائية و معدل النمو و تشير النتائج إلى أن السلينيوم و فيتامين ھ سواء كلا على حدة أو معا أديا إلى حدوث زيادة معنوية في عدد كرات الدم الحمراء و كرات الدم البيضاء، تركيز الهيموجلوبين و حجم الخلايا المضغوطة و أنزيم اسبرتيت امينو ترانسفيراز، الجلوكوز، البروتين الكلي، الجلوبيولين الكلي و هرمون الثيروكسين و الترايايودوثيرونين و هرمون التستستيرون و زيادة غير معنوية في الخلايا الليمفاوية، المتعادلة، الحمضية، الملتهمة الكبيرة، أنزيم الأنين امينو ترانسفيراز، الزلال، الصوديوم، البوتاسيوم و اليوريا و الكرياتينين و نقص معنوي في الكولسترول و نقص غير معنوي في النسبة بين الزلال و الجلوبيولين.
نستخلص من هذه الدراسة أن السلينيوم و فيتامين ھ سواء كلا على حدة أو معا أحدثا تأثيرات على صورة الدم، بعض القياسات البيوكيميائية و بعض الهرمونات كما أديا إلى تحسين معدلات النمو و لكن السلينيوم و فيتامين ھ معا كان لهما أحسن الأثر لذلك يوصى باستخدامهما معا.
Abstract EN
The present study was designed to investigate the effect of Selenium and / or Vitamin E on the body weight, blood and serum parameters in healthy lambs.
Twenty native breed male lambs of 1-1.5 years old free from internal and external parasites with average body weight of 30-35 kg b.
wt.
were used in this investigation.
Animals were divided into four equal groups.
The first group left without treatment as control, while the second and third groups were injected subcutaneously (S / C) with 1 ml of viteselen (selenium and vitamin E) and sodium selenite respectively, one dose weekly for three successive weeks.
Fourth group was administered orally with vitamin E (one capsule 400 I.
U / amb) for the same previous period.
Blood and serum samples were collected before and 7,15 and 30 days post treatment.
The obtained results revealed that selenium and / or vitamin E induced significant increase in total erythrocytes count, hemoglobin content, packed cell volume and total leukocytes count.
Aspartate aminotransf-erase (AST), glucose, total protein, total globulin, triiodothyronin (T3), thyroxin (T4) and testosterone hormone were also increased significa-ntly at 7,15 and 30 days post treatment .
The body weight and total body gain were significantly increased at the end of experiment.
On the other hand significant decrease in total cholesterol at 7 and 15 days post treatment was recorded.
It could be concluded that selenium and vitamin E have synergistic effect and enhance the growth performance, thyroid function hematological and serum biochemical parameters.
