Teacher education is a field of interest to all teachers and learners and there are umpteen ways and means of studying what goes into the construction of a model of teacher education that suits theory and practice.

This paper tries to relate theory to practice in the field of teacher education.

It draws from various theories in the field and then makes an attempt to view what actually takes place in a given context.
