الأهداف : هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تقييم الأنماط المختلفة لأورام الغدة الدرقية بين المرضى الذين خصعوا لفحص الرشف الخلوي بالإبر الدقيقة.
المنهجية : هذه الدراسة هي دراسة استرجاعية، بناء على سجلات المرضى و الذين تم عمل الرشف الخلوي بالإبر الدقيقة لأورام الغدة الدرقية لديهم في مختبر الأنسجة الحديث، المنصورة، عدن خلال الفترة 2007-2005.
تمت مراجعة كل تقارير الرشف الخلوي بالإبر الدقيقة لأورام الغدة الدرقية و مراجعة معلومات الجنس، العمر و مكان الإقامة.
النتائج : أجريت مئتان و اثنان و سبعون (272) رشف خلوي بالإبر الدقيقة لأورام الغدة الدرقية على المرضى الذين حضروا إلى المختبر و يعانون من أورام الغدة الدرقية.
وجد أن 256 (94.1) إناث و 16 (5.9 %) ذكور و بنسبة ذكور إلى إناث 16 : 1.
و تراوحت أعمارهم من 11 إلى 80 عاما و بمتوسط قدره 14.2 ± 35.5 عاما.
و أظهر تحليل الرشف الخلوي بالإبر الدقيقة أن 178 (65.5 %) كانت حالات غروانية غير سامة للغدة الدرقية، 36 (13.2 %) التهاب هاشيموتو، 28 (10.3 %) ورم حميد مسامي، 9 (3.3 %) أورام حميدة.
لم تكن هناك تورمات خبيثة للغدة الدرقية.
الاستنتاج : كانت النتائج قابلة للمقارنة مع دراسة سابقة نشرت في عدن، و يوفر معلومات مفيدة للتخطيط الصحي في المستقبل و البحوث العملية.
Abstract EN
Objective : The aim of this study was to evaluate the different patterns of thyroid gland swellings among patients who underwent FNAC.
Materials and Methods : The study was a retrospective study based on records of patients attended the modern histopathological laboratory in almansourah, Aden, for fancy of thyroid during the years 2005 to 2007.
All FNA cytology reports, sex, age and residence area were reviewed.
Results : Two hundred and seventy-two (272) FNAC were performed on patients presenting with diffuse or nodular thyroid enlargement.
They were 256 (94.1 %( females and 16 males (5.9 %), with a ratio male / female 1 : 16.
Their ages ranged from 11 to 80years with an average of 35.5 ± 14.2 years.
FNAC analysis revealed 178 (65.5 %) non-toxic colloid goiter, 36 (13.2 %) hashimoto's thyroiditis, 28 (10.3 %) follicular adenoma, 21 (7.7 %) nodular goiter and 9 (3.3 %) benign neoplasm.
No malignancy thyroid gland swellings were found.
Conclusion The results were comparable with the previous published study in Aden, it provides useful information for health planning and future researches.
