A comparison of the TOEFL ITP test results of science and humanities groups

Abstract EN

The TOEFL is constructed to evaluate the English proficiency of people who are non-native English speakers.

Additionally, institutions such as government agencies, licensing bodies, businesses, or scholarship programs may require this test.

To achieve the aims and verify the hypothesis which indicates that there is no statistical differences between the TOEFL Scores of the science group and those of humanities group.

The sample of present study consists of (100) examinees.

T-test for two independent samples is used to analyze the results of TOEFL ITP Test.

The analysis proves that there is no significant difference between science group and humanities group in TOEFL scores.

In the light of findings, several conclusions, recommendations and suggestions for future work have been made.
