Probiotic Lactobacillus strain isolated from yogurt, after enrichment in MRS broth, was identified using a rapid screening method.

The lactobacillus strain was identified as Lactobacillus acidophilus.

The viable number of the cell in the yogurt was about 107 CFU/ml.
