Abstract AR
Abstract EN
In this paper derivations of the dynamic modeling of flexible robot arm are presented, the finite element method is used in the modeling of this work.
The link is modeled as single finite element to simplify the problem; two types of boundary conditions are used; clamped-free boundary conditions, and pinned-free boundary conditions.
The payload is added to the model by attaching additional masses to the arm at any specific location, many parameters are added to the model such as total viscous friction of the system, and total mass moment of inertia of the system, to increase the validity of the model.
The model is presented in two forms the first one is traditionally formed and the second is the state-space form due to the importance of this form in the equations of the control systems.
The model is highly effective for symbolic calculations due to the simple and low number of parameters which deals with it.
