تم إيجاد حيود الأشعة السينية لمركب znS) x (CdTe)1-x) و أغشيته الرقيقة حيث فيها 1 >0 < X .
بينت نتائج حيود الأشعة السينية للمركب بنية تركيبية متجانسة بينما لوحظ بالنسبة لأغشيته الرفيقة بنية تركيبية متعددة التبلور من نوع wurtzite بالنسبة أي ZnS و نوع zincblende بالنسبة إلى CdTe مع مواضع قيمة عظمى انحرفت قليلا عن ZnS باتجاه CdTe و لم يكن هنالك قيمة عظمى تعود إلى كل من ZnS و CdTe.
أعطيت الأغشية التي عوملت حراريا عند درجة حرارة 473 K لمدة ساعة تحسنا في درجة تبلورها.
كذلك تم حساب الحجم الحبيبي للأغشية و وجد أن هنالك اضطرابا في نموها اعتمادا على المكون X و عملية التلدين.

X-ray diffraction(XRD)of(ZnS)x(CdTe)l-x, alloys and thin films for 0 The (XRD) of the alloys showed a stoichiometric structure whereas the (XRD) of the as deposited films observed polycrystalline wurtzite for ZnS and zincblende for CdTe films with peak positions slightly shifted from ZnStowards CdTe and no peak related to ZnS and CdTe is found. The annealed films at 473K. for one hour showed an improvement in their crystallization. Also the grains size of the films was calculated and it is found that there was a fluctuation in their growth depending on the content x and the annealing process.
