English Abstract

The present study aims at investigating the effect of managers‟ emotional intelligence, organizational climate and employees‟ creativity on entrepreneurial orientation within the context of Jordan industrial Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).

To achieve this objective, intransitive hypotheses were formulated and tested using AMOS 16.0 to determine the interactions between the various factors.

A survey was conducted over 317 managers from 418 industrial SMEs based in three Jordanian industrial estates: Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein industrial estate (Amman), Al-Hassan Industrial estate (Irbid), and Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II industrial estate (Karak).

The results showed that managers‟ emotional intelligence has a positive direct effect on entrepreneurial orientation of industrial SMEs and organizational climate, while managers‟ emotional intelligence has no positive direct effect on employees‟ creativity.

Furthermore, managers‟ emotional intelligence has indirect effect through organizational climate and employees‟ creativity on entrepreneurial orientation on industrial SMEs and indirect effect on employees‟ creativity through organizational climate.

In turn, organizational climate has a positive direct effect on employees‟ creativity.

Moreover, the results showed that both organizational climate and employees‟ creativity have a positive direct effect of industrial SMEs‟ entrepreneurial orientation.

In turn, organizational climate has indirect effect on entrepreneurial orientation through the employees‟ creativity.

Based on the study findings and conclusions, a number of implications are suggested and some future researches are proposed.
