English Abstract

We study and analyse two species predator-prey models, with different types of functional response.

Local and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium, positivity and boundedness of solutions are investigated.

We then examine a general three species food chain model.

A combination of analytical and numerical methods is used here.

Results are proved on linear and global stability of equilibrium.

Finally a Lotka-Volterra competition system is then analysed, where two species compete for the same limited food source or in some way inhabit each other growth.

Linear stability of the equilibrium of the competition model is investigated analytically and numerically.
