Antioxidants and male infertility

Abstract EN

This research includes study of the effect of antioxidants in sperm plasma in male infertility.

Fifty three patients with male infertility the range age (25-50) years living in mousl city were selected.

The level of sperm plasma malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH) , peroxinitrate (PN), ceruloplasmin (CP), uric acid (UA) and albumin (Alb) were measured .

The results showed a significant increased in MDA level (as an index of lipidperoxidation) in patients with male infertility comparison with control group, on the other hand, patients with male infertility had decrease GSH level, PN, CP, UA and Alb when compared with apparently healthy control group.
